Welcome, swingers! We are proud to introduce Buttersmooth, an association whose ambition is to make Lindy Hop, Jazz, and the swing spirit shine!
BSF 2026
LINE UP
Leticia Martín Sanchez explores jazz dances as a living cultural heritage, blending groove, swing, and improvisation.
A Lindy Hopper since 2011, she integrates body percussion, voice, and dance into her artistic and teaching practice. Based in Montpellier (Montpeul’ Swing), she teaches full-time while pursuing academic research on jazz dances and cultural policies in France.
Born and raised in Spain and now based in France, César Cano Haro discovered swing dancing in his early twenties and fell in love with Lindy Hop in 2016.
Passionate about swing culture, he travels internationally to refine his dancing and teaching. His style is rooted in freedom, improvisation, and rhythm, combining softness with expansive, high-energy movement.
You loved him at our very first edition — he’s back! We’re delighted to welcome Diego “Odd Sweet” for this 3rd edition.
A dancer, choreographer and DJ trained at Juste Debout School, Diego specializes in Swing dances and House Dance. Founder of the ODD Visions company, he blends clubbing culture, Afro-American vernacular dances and Caribbean influences. A multidisciplinary artist, he has performed both on national theatre stages and alongside Caravan Palace on their international tour. Deeply committed to knowledge sharing, he is also a teacher and dance-lecture performer.
His latest creation, _GROUND [UnderGround], was presented at the Suresnes Cité Danses and Kalypso festivals.
You’ll also find solo classes with Léna!
Léna thought she didn’t like dancing until she discovered Swing in 2013! For several years now, her dance practice has been enriched by a wide range of influences: Hip Hop, floorwork, acrobatics, and percussive dance forms (Tap Dance, Body Percussion). Co-creating Into Jazz — a one-hour performance blending theatricality and vernacular Jazz — allowed her to explore and stage the connections between dance and resilience.
She actively develops her understanding of the political and cultural issues reflected in social dance. Jazz accompanies her on this path of deconstruction and emancipation. For her, Jazz means accepting what happens here and now, playing with it, and allowing herself to be surprised by others — and by herself.
Trained in dance from an early age, TH began with modern jazz before dedicating herself to classical dance for nine years. Discovering Lindy Hop in London marked a decisive turning point in her artistic journey. Today, she explores and shares vernacular jazz as a fully-fledged bodily language, rooted in history, musicality, and personal expression.
Julien, immersed in swing music from a young age, first explored many different worlds before grounding his path in the arts and partner dancing. Trained in Paris and across Europe, he has developed an approach to swing dance shaped by its cultural and political context, encounters, and collective projects. Deeply invested in teaching and creation, he has co-founded and led several artistic and community-based initiatives. Today, his personal research is enriched through influences such as House, Hustle, and Locking, constantly questioning and refining his relationship to movement.
🔥 Two complementary energies, in service of a vibrant & committed dance 🔥
Levels
OPEN
You’ve got the basics, but levels aren’t really your thing.
You want to work on communication and creativity before technique. Dance is about sharing, not competing!

You’ve been dancing swing for at least two years. You’re familiar with basic moves and rhythms (6 and 8-count patterns: swing out, send out, tuck turn, pass by, skip-up… in triple steps or in Charleston). You’re curious and have started to explore and experiment in your dancing.
Beurre Demi-Sel (Inter–Advanced)
You’ve been dancing regularly for over three years, including outside of classes. You’ve mastered all the basics and can dance comfortably to a wide range of tempos (110–180 BPM). You’re already exploring different rhythms and styling in your dancing.
